Meet Monte Thakkar
Monte is a Software Engineer in San Francisco. He enjoys helping students & junior developers discover their passion for building creative mobile apps.
As a student at SF State, Monte attended over a couple dozen hackathons working with a variety of technologies for mobile and web development such as rails, express, swift, java, parse, firebase and mongoDB to name a few. Working in a team setting also helped Monte to cultivate soft skills while developing a passion for communicating and implementing ideas from a technical standpoint.
During his senior year in college, Monte started MobileSpace to help teach iOS development to students as the CS program at SF State lacked any such course. In doing so, Monte developed the course curriculum for MobileSpace building several begginer level iOS apps, recorded Youtube tutorials, lead weekly meetup sessions to teach iOS concepts as well as helped members develop their portfolio projects.
To learn more about MobileSpace, check out the MobileSpace Blog here. And if you are interested to join MobileSpace, please check the current application status here.
Currently, Monte is working on several side projects with React, React Native, Slack bots and Raspberry Pi and is also experimenting with ReactVR and Etherium & Solidity (Blokchain tech).
Please feel free to reach out to Monte on LinkedIn, Twitter or through Email.
