The internet, since it’s inception, has developed a lot and is used by more than 4B people worldwide. It’s a 40% increase in new internet users since the millennium. Plus, as the data costs gets cheaper day by day, this number is expected to increase seven-fold. This internet revolution when combined with the industrial revolution that started in the 18th Century, can give rise to a new revolution of Industrial Internet of which Industrial IoT is a part. It is estimated that by 2020, there will be about 20B connected things, worldwide and this is the best time to start developing this new technology.
Automation has always been associated to make things easier, but automation has also had this perspective of reducing work and hence making people lazy, rather than a employment eating jargon we planned to rather Innovate automation into something that increases productivity.
