We’re looking for a pragmatic, personable videographer & photographer to capture our product, company and brand. You’ll support our business goals, bringing Monzo to life through beautiful, effective images that help us achieve mass market appeal.
At Monzo, we’re working to build a financial control centre for over a billion people worldwide. We’ve made our first steps towards this goal, recently having launched a current account, but this is only the beginning: everyone needs a bank account, and we want to showcase that Monzo is the one for you.
We work for and with our community, and want to make sure people’s interactions with our website and product and adverts reflect that. You’ll strengthen the human-centric brand we’re building, and bring Monzo to life.
You will be responsible for producing high quality marketing and product video assets, for social, web and within the app itself. Some days you’ll be taking pictures of the team working around the office, some days you’ll be creating a highly polished video for our next crowdfunding campaign, sometimes you’ll be lifestreaming a Monzo event over YouTube. You’ll be the Design team video & photography specialist to help lift our visual identity into the stratosphere.
You’ll produce photography and video that will help us meet our objectives: sometimes you’ll be given a tight brief to produce something quick and high quality to use in a test; other times you’ll have total freedom to determine how best to meet that objective.
You’ll be responsible for:
- growing a library of unique, distinct and consistent photographic content across our business which will be used to support a variety of purposes
- working closely with our digital marketing team to produce Facebook adverts, Youtube content, product photography and videos
- supporting company news and announcements with video and photography
- helping the product speak for itself: showcasing new features, tutorials, content that helps our users get the most out of Monzo
- documenting the growth of our company and team: from team photos to reportage around the office and interviews to support our employer brand
- editing your work: making sure we’re telling the right story, and presenting the right quality of footage for its context
You’ll spend your time taking and editing video and photos with a specific purpose in mind - whether that’s for a quick Snapchat advert test, or to support another crowdfunding round.
You will join our five-person design team, and will have a huge impact on our visual direction, and how everyone understands what Monzo is.
You should apply if:
- You love working with people and capturing who they are on film
- You’re commercially minded: you understand how much polish is proportionate
- You can deliver great video in short timeframes, and you’ve produced work to showcase a brand
- You have experience shooting products in context, and documenting the way people use products
- You help others feel comfortable in front of the camera, bringing out the best of them and supporting them to look and feel good on film.
