Are cars even really necessary? Vehicles can cause a lot of damage to our ecosystem. Cars are not a must if wherever you need to go is right outside your door step. Rush hour will cease to exist if cars are not in use. Some advantages may come forth if vehicles were limited.

Cars produce pollution that endangers our ecosystem. Countries are taking action in order to save the greenhouses. Paris had enforced a partial driving ban to clear the air of the global city. According to Robert Duffer, author of "Paris bans driving due to smog" he stated in paragraph 14 "Congestion was down 60 percent in the capital of France, after five-days of intensifying smog." Duffer also mentioned that Diesel fuel is responsible for this.

Why use a car if you're going down the street? In the article "In German Suburb, Life Goes On Without Cars" by Elisabeth Rosenthal in paragraph 6, Rosenthal mentions that stores are placed a walking distance away rather than near a highway or somewhere you have to use a car to get to. Heidrun Walter, a media trainer said "When I had a car I was always tense. I'm much happier this way." Other countries are introducing this motive as well. "Vauban (Germany) is an example of a growing trend... to separate suburban life from auto use, as a component of a movement called "smart planning."

Nobody is a fan of rush hour. If cars aren't being put to use then rush hour will fail to exist. Andrew Selsky, author of "Car-free day is spinning into a big hit in Bogota" implies "... rush-hour restrictions have dramatically cut traffic..."
