Normally, Adapt It does not allow a source text phrase to include punctuation other than the comma. Thus, Adapt It ends a phrase when it encounters a major punctuation mark. The punctuation mark forms a boundary for the phrase. The user can override the boundary or reinstate it as necessary.
To control how Adapt It deals with a punctuation boundary, do one of the following:
To allow selection of a phrase including punctuation, click the Boundary button
on the toolbar.
Adapt It changes the icon to
and allows selection of words past the punctuation mark. (When the phrase box next moves, Adapt It automatically restores the restriction.)
To restore the punctuation restriction manually, click the
button.
Adapt It changes the icon to
and restricts selection past the punctuation boundary.
If you are selecting source text by the click and drag method, press and hold the Ctrl key to select across the boundary.
