This method is the most general and preferred technique to make no adaptation of a source text word or phrase.
Click the Mode bar button called <no adaptation> . Adapt It clears the Phrase box and makes a special entry <no adaptation> into the knowledge base. There are two benefits to using this action.
In the document, when Adapt It moves the Phrase box forward, it skips locations where a <no adaptation> translation has been made. In most cases, this is the desired action.
Some words may or may not require a translation based on the context. In these circumstances, <no adaptation> can be stored in the knowledge base as one of the valid adaptations. So when Adapt It displays Choose Translation dialog, you can select <no adaptation> along with any of the alternate meanings.
No adaptation is one of several ways that Adapt It uses "nothing" to handle special conditions in translation. See Adapt It types of Nothing for more information.
