Under normal circumstances, if Adapt It finds only one translation for a word or phrase in the knowledge base, the application automatically inserts that translation and moves on to the next location. However, there are circumstances when you might want Adapt It to put up the dialog box, even though Adapt It only knows of a single adaptation for a specific word or phrase. You can force Adapt It to stop at a particular word or phrase to determine if another translation is needed. You can do this in two ways:
Using the Force Choice For This Item checkbox on the Mode toolbar.
Using the Knowledge base editor option in the Tools menu to open the Edit or Examine the Knowledge Base dialog.
By clicking the Toggle The Setting command button so that the Checkbox Force Choice Status is set to ON.
Either method forces Adapt It to stop and open the Choose Translation dialog when ever it encounters the word or phrase. You can then choose the appropriate translation or add a new one.
