Welcome to Transmitic

Transmitic allows you to securely share files and folders with people.
Downloads can be paused or lose their connection, and the download will continue where it left off.
You will connect to people directly. There is no 3rd party server that can see your files.

Getting Started

1. Your Public ID

Your Public ID is:

Share your Public ID with anyone you want to share with.

2. Finding Your IP Address

People need your IP address to directly connect to you.
Search online "what is my IP".
It will be numbers separated with dots.
Share your IP address.

3. Opening/Forwarding a Port

This part might seem difficult, but it's not.
A port is used with an IP address to direct internet connections to software (like Transmitic).
In your browser, login to your router by going to either http://192.168.0.1 OR http://192.168.1.1 OR http://192.168.50.1
Login to your router. If you have never logged in before, the credentials might be on a sticker on the router itself.
Look for one of these sections NAT Forwarding / Port Forwarding / Virtual Servers.

Add a new entry (Your router's terminology may differ slightly).
Internal Port: X
External Port: X
Protocol: TCP
Internal IP Address: Local IP address for your computer
